Home Service Hub

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Home Service Hub at homeservicehub.co and related products, features, and content (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, submitting a request, browsing authenticated areas, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Trust & Safety standards, Prohibited Services Policy, and (if you are a provider) the Provider Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for activity under your credentials and for safeguarding passwords.
  • One person or business should not create accounts to evade bans, manipulate matching, or fabricate reviews.
  • We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the community.

3. Marketplace roles

The Service connects people seeking local help (“requesters”) with independent service businesses (“providers”).

Requesting help is intended to be free for requesters. Providers pay for subscriptions and related marketplace tools as described at pricing and checkout.

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, providers are not employees, joint venturers, or agents of Home Service Hub.

4. Nature of the Service

Home Service Hub is a technology platform that helps describe jobs, clarify requests (including with AI), and match or introduce local providers. We are not the contractor performing the underlying work.

  • We do not supervise job sites, supply materials, or control how providers perform services.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, timing, or price of off-platform work.
  • We do not guarantee that any request will receive matches, responses, or a hired provider.
  • Any service agreement for trade work is between requester and provider, unless we expressly become a party in writing.
  • Statements on profiles, messages, estimates, or reviews are those of the users who make them.

5. AI features and disclaimers

AI features may analyze text and images to suggest categories, summaries, urgency, and questions. Outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete.

  • AI is not a licensed inspection, engineering opinion, medical diagnosis, legal advice, or code-compliance determination.
  • You must review and edit AI suggestions before relying on them.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the final request content you submit.
  • Do not use AI output as the sole basis for dangerous DIY work that requires a qualified professional.

6. Requester obligations

  • Describe jobs truthfully and disclose known hazards, access limits, and occupancy issues.
  • Only upload photos and files you have the right to share.
  • Use the Service for legitimate local service needs — not scams, harassment, or prohibited categories.
  • Treat providers professionally and pay for agreed work under the terms you arrange with them.
  • Comply with property rules, HOA requirements, and laws applicable to your project.
  • For emergencies, contact emergency services first — not the marketplace.

7. Provider obligations (summary)

If you subscribe or onboard as a provider, you also agree to the Provider Terms, which control in the event of conflict on provider-specific topics. In summary, you must keep profiles accurate, respect plan limits, follow law and licensing rules, and behave professionally.

8. Your content and license

You retain ownership of content you submit (text, photos, logos, reviews, messages), subject to licenses needed to run the Service.

You grant Home Service Hub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt (including AI processing), display, and distribute your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Service (for example, showing request photos to matched providers, or showing public profile content).

You represent that you have rights to grant this license and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

We may remove content that violates policy or creates risk, and we may preserve copies for legal and safety purposes.

9. Prohibited use of the Service

  • Illegal activity, fraud, money laundering, or intellectual-property infringement.
  • Harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, or discrimination prohibited by law.
  • Uploading malware, scraping at abusive scale, reverse engineering except where legally protected, or bypassing security controls.
  • Manipulating matches, reviews, verification, or billing.
  • Posting or requesting prohibited services as defined in our Prohibited Services Policy.
  • Using the Service to build a competing lead marketplace by systematically extracting data.

10. Fees and taxes

Requester use of core request submission is free unless we clearly introduce a requester fee later with notice.

Provider subscription fees, add-ons, and taxes are presented at checkout and billed via our payment processor.

Except where required by law or expressly stated, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins.

You are responsible for taxes associated with your use of the Service and for any taxes on trade work billed between requester and provider.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (hosting, authentication, AI, payments). Their outages or acts may affect availability. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from profiles or messages.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Home Service Hub DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that matches will be available, that providers are insured or licensed for every task, that AI outputs are correct, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

You assume risk for hiring decisions, property access, and off-platform work arrangements.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Home Service Hub AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM WORK PERFORMED BY PROVIDERS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Home Service Hub and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the Service; your content; your interactions or disputes with other users; your violation of these Terms or law; or services you provide or receive off-platform.

15. Disputes between users

If a dispute arises between a requester and a provider about workmanship, payment for services, scheduling, or property damage, those parties should attempt to resolve it directly.

We may, at our discretion, offer informal assistance or information, but we are not obligated to mediate or arbitrate user-to-user disputes and are not a party to the underlying service contract unless we expressly agree in writing.

16. Governing law and disputes with us

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

Before filing a claim against us, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing us and allowing thirty (30) days to respond.

If a dispute remains unresolved, courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise. YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

If binding arbitration is later introduced for certain claims, we will update these Terms and provide required notices.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Providers remain responsible for subscription obligations already incurred.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations, legal risk, nonpayment, fraud, or to protect users.

Sections that by nature should survive (including licenses to content already shared as needed for residual operations, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

18. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify features, plans, and availability. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new date.

Material changes will be highlighted through the Service or email when appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted.

19. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service, superseding prior conflicting terms on the same subject.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or sale.
  • Headings are for convenience only.
