Home Service Hub

1. Agreement

These Provider Terms supplement the Terms of Service and apply to any business or individual that creates a provider profile, starts onboarding, or purchases a subscription on Home Service Hub (a “Provider”).

If there is a conflict between these Provider Terms and the general Terms of Service on a provider-specific topic, these Provider Terms control.

By continuing onboarding or paying for a plan, you accept these Provider Terms.

2. Independent business status

  • You are an independent business, not an employee, partner, or agent of Home Service Hub.
  • You control your hiring, pricing for trade work, methods, tools, and scheduling (subject to law and agreements with requesters).
  • You are solely responsible for wages, taxes, insurance, licensing, permits, and workplace safety for your personnel.
  • Nothing in the Service creates an exclusive territory unless we expressly sell or document one in writing (we generally do not).

3. Eligibility and authority

  • You must be authorized to bind the business you list.
  • You must be legally able to offer the services you advertise in the locations you select.
  • You must maintain any licenses, registrations, and insurance required for your trade and locality.
  • You must not be barred from contracting due to sanctions, fraud judgments relevant to marketplace integrity, or prior permanent bans for severe violations.

4. Profile accuracy and representations

Your public and matched profile must be truthful, current, and not misleading.

  • Business name, description, categories, service areas, years in business, emergency availability, and website must be accurate.
  • Do not claim licenses, certifications, insurance coverage, bonding, manufacturer authorizations, or affiliations you do not hold.
  • Do not impersonate another company or reuse another business’s branding without rights.
  • Keep service areas aligned with where you can actually perform work.
  • We may require updates, remove false claims, or suspend profiles pending verification.

5. Verification documents

You may be asked to upload licenses, certificates of insurance, identity documents, or formation records.

  • Documents must be valid, unaltered, and belong to your business or authorized individuals.
  • You authorize us to review documents for marketplace trust & safety and to re-check them periodically.
  • Verification badges, if shown, reflect our review process only — not a warranty to requesters.
  • You must promptly notify us if a license lapses, insurance is cancelled, or a material regulatory action occurs.
  • Submitting fraudulent documents is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and plan limits

Providers pay recurring subscription fees for marketplace access and tools. Plan features (service areas, categories, placement, analytics, team seats, etc.) are described on the pricing page and in-product.

  • Fees are billed via Stripe (or successor processor) monthly or annually as selected.
  • You authorize recurring charges until you cancel according to product instructions.
  • Taxes may apply. Currency is U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise.
  • Plan limits are enforced automatically where possible; circumventing limits is a violation.
  • We may change plan features or pricing with notice; changes apply on renewal unless otherwise stated.
  • Except where required by law or expressly promised at checkout, fees are non-refundable for the current billing period.
  • Failed payments may result in loss of matching eligibility, profile visibility, or account suspension.
  • Subscription fees are not payment for any particular lead and are not contingent on closing jobs.

7. Opportunities, matching, and lead use

Matched opportunities are introductions based on available data. They are not guaranteed jobs, exclusive leads, or endorsed referrals.

  • We do not guarantee volume, quality, close rate, or revenue.
  • You may use request information only to evaluate and service that requester’s legitimate job needs.
  • You may not resell, publish, bulk-export, or use request data to build unrelated marketing lists.
  • You may not spam requesters or contact them for unrelated services outside fair professional follow-up.
  • If you cannot perform a job, decline promptly and do not string requesters along.
  • Off-platform contracting is between you and the requester; keep your own records and contracts.

8. Professional conduct

  • Communicate respectfully and without harassment or discrimination prohibited by law.
  • Show up when you schedule; if you must cancel, notify the requester as early as practical.
  • Do not pressure requesters into unsafe DIY, illegal unpermitted work, or cash-only schemes designed to evade law.
  • Do not solicit reviews through deceit or pay for fake reviews.
  • Respect property and privacy; do not misuse access codes or photograph sensitive areas without need and consent.
  • Comply with Trust & Safety rules and cooperate with investigations.

9. Legal and trade compliance

You are solely responsible for complying with all laws governing your services, including licensing, permitting, consumer protection, environmental rules, wage/hour laws, immigration employment verification for your staff, and advertising rules.

If a job requires a license you lack, you must not accept it through the Service.

10. Insurance and risk of work

You should maintain insurance appropriate to your trade (for example, general liability, workers’ compensation where required, auto, or specialty coverage).

Home Service Hub does not provide insurance for your jobs by default. Any future insurance benefits would be described separately.

You assume risk for tools, vehicles, job-site injuries, and property damage arising from your work, except to the extent caused by our proven willful misconduct.

11. Payment for trade work

Charges for labor and materials are collected under your own agreements with requesters unless we expressly offer a payments product.

Do not imply that Home Service Hub guarantees payment by requesters.

Chargebacks, nonpayment, and collection for trade invoices are your responsibility.

12. Branding and platform IP

  • You may state that you participate on Home Service Hub in a factual way.
  • You may not suggest we employ you, endorse a specific job outcome, or that we are your general contractor.
  • Our logos, product UI, and software are our property; limited use is allowed only as needed to identify the platform.
  • Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

13. Enforcement and termination

  • We may remove opportunities, hide profiles, suspend matching, or terminate accounts for violations, nonpayment, fraud, safety risk, or legal requirements.
  • Severe violations (fake documents, exploitation, threats, systematic lead abuse) may result in permanent bans.
  • You may cancel your subscription according to in-product controls; access continues until the end of the paid period unless terminated earlier for cause.
  • Upon termination, you must stop using provider tools; residual copies of data may remain in backups and legal archives as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Provider indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Home Service Hub against claims arising from your services, advertising, licensing status, job-site conduct, employees/subcontractors, trade disputes with requesters, or your breach of these Provider Terms.

15. Liability allocation

The disclaimers and limitations in the Terms of Service apply to Providers. Without limiting them: we are not liable for lost jobs, ranking changes, matching algorithm decisions, requester nonpayment, or reputational harm from truthful reviews.

16. Changes

We may update these Provider Terms by posting a new version. Continued use of provider features after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
